Wir stimmen uns gemeinsam auf das Fest ein mit einem der größten Weihnachtsklassiker aller Zeiten: Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" (1843), ein Roman, der schon unzählige Male adaptiert, verfilmt, inszeniert und natürlich gelesen wurde. Der Abend beginnt mit einer Einführung in das Werk. Dann liest die Dozentin Auszüge in der englischen Originalfassung (und erklärt durchaus hier und da etwas auf Deutsch, falls nötig), wobei sie für ihr "dramatic reading" die Vorlage nimmt, die auch Dickens selbst gern vortrug. Anschließend klingt die kleine Adventsstunde mit Fragen, Diskussion, heißen Getränken und Plätzchen aus. Keine Ermäßigung möglich.
